Uckfield Carnival 2024
Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society are sorry to have to announce that there will be no firework display during this year’s Carnival weekend.
When Holy Cross School was closed at the end of 2023 the field we use for the firework display became the responsibility of East Sussex County Council and we have just heard that we have been unsuccessful in gaining permission to use the field.
As we are only just over a month away from the Carnival weekend it is not possible for us to get all the paperwork needed for the authorities to review in time to go ahead somewhere else.
The Society will concentrate on giving the people of Uckfield two fantastic carnival processions on Saturday 7th September 2024 and then will start looking at alternative locations for the fireworks in time for September 2025.
