Uckfield Bonfire & Carnival Society are very very pleased, proud and slightly emotional to announce that the 2017 Street Collection has beaten previous records and has raised £4,120.15.
As a society we need to thank so many people from the town, too many to name here, for all their help, support and assistance throughout the carnival weekend and before and after the event. It has made us all very happy to see more people than ever in the procession, in the afternoon and evening, and especially all the families out enjoying the event together.
We have now done most of the clearing up, counting of money and relocating vehicles back to their homes. Time for a well earned rest and a reminder to our members that we have a meeting next week to start planning the 2018 Uckfield Carnival on Saturday 1st September.
